I have no idea how that position is comfortable or how he managed to get the blankets and cushions in that arrangement so skillfully. Liam is not a guy who likes going to bed, so he was probably fooling around and then eventually grew tired once everything was rearranged, and passed out getting back on the bed. Who knows.I thought it looked amusing though...

No, he is just hanging off his bed.
on the floor is his duvet, Thomas the tank engine pillow, and another giant tubular pillow.
