Out the front of the house was the other side of the rainbow, which was appearing to touch the ground just next to the castle/beergarden up on the hill. 
If I had not been so lazy, I think I could have popped outside and taken a nice photo of the full arc of the rainbow. Sadly, lazyness won yet again.

I suppose if you weren't so lazy you may have actually tried to find the gold at the end of the rainbow.
Oh Dave, that is at least a 20 min walk up a really steep hill. No gold is worth that strain.
